Decorative Clocks

Timekeeping began with the Sumarians and Eygptians. They used solar time pieces, like sun dials and water clocks. The first large mechanical clock appeared in the mid-fourteenth century in Italy. Spring driven clocks finally appeared in the 1600s. However, the first accurate time clocks didn't make an appearance until the 1700s.
